Construction Update

Beacon Medical Group Cleveland Road Construction of the newest Beacon Medical Group clinic is nearing completion. Final touches are ongoing inside the building. Throughout the month of July, furniture, equipment, computers and communications systems are being installed and brought online, says Mark Bralick, Beacon Director of Projects & Construction. Beacon IS and Communication Systems staff are working diligently to get the building systems up and running by the end of the month. Ready and Able

The Memorial Hospital Police Department strengthened its presence with the addition of newly sworn-in Assistant Chief Karl Karch, along with officers Thomas Hixon and Kevin Andert, Jr., on July 7 on the Memorial campus. This marks the largest group of officers sworn in at one time since the department’s inception in August 2014 and brings the police department to the full staffing of 10 sworn officers. People have trouble recognizing Josh Bennett nowadays –– and for good reason. In December 2014, the tech support specialist II at Elkhart General weighed 305 pounds, could be regularly found drinking Mountain Dew and consuming lots of junk food.
